I am looking for a career with a great opportunity for advancement, some place where I can come to work enjoy what I do and also have time to spend with my family. I love the outdoors and about every sport out there.
LHC is were I first found my love for road construction, and knew that it was what I had been looking for in a career! This is also were I have learned how to operate pretty much every type of machine that involves asphalt, grade, and subgrade. From a wacker plate to a Cat F series paver. Below I have compiled a list of some work examples.
I Took a brief leave from LHC to go work with the City of Kalispell. My oldest son Andrew had suffered a TBI and at that time I realized that life is to short to work it away. I wanted to work less hours so I could spend time with my family. At the City I also learned a great amount in a short period of time. this is were I obtained my CDL! Below are some examples of what tasked we did.
I was young and the money was great. My wife and I had just been married and had stared a family. A friend of mine told me that he could get me a job over in North Dakota working 1 week on and 1 week off, and that would pay for housing while working. So I said what the heck and gave it a shot. Working on an Oil Rig is a very fast paced, labor intense, young mans job. This is the type of job that will separate the men from the boys, if you do not have a great work ethic and strong willpower you will be chewed up and spit out. in the time that I spent with Ensign I had worked my way up the ladder from a green horn floor hand to motor hand and then to derrick hand. Unfortunately working in this type of industry is not always good. The ups and downs of oil prices will determine you job status very quickly and in the beginning of 2015 my rig was "stacked out" do to oil prices dropping. My whole crew was laid off. Again here are a few examples
