Recovery Specialist - Biller/Collector/Assistant/legal
City, STATE, 07/2009 - 03/2011 Started working for the company as a medical biller/collector. My duties consisted of calling doctor's offices, patients and insurance company's to gain information or payment for services rendered. Became the managers assistant which means I collected and separated information for the biller/collectors. Contacted companies to updated our contracted rates. Handled incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, email and faxes. Devised and maintained office systems to efficiently deal with paper flow. Drafted company employee hand book. Also, worked together with the companies lawyers putting together the discovery files for them. Went to court with the lawyers on behalf of the company.
