  • My job is to operate the overhead crane in a safe and and very efficient manner.
  • Pick up full heats of molten steel and transport it to the next department for further processing.
  • Learned my position by fellow employees with many years of experience, and taught me how to safely operate all four cranes. Currently, i am one of the crane trainers to do my ability to operate all crane cranes proficiently and safely.
  • Operate all cranes per companies safety policy and procedures. Also, following OSHA standards 1910.179 on operating overhead cranes safely.
  • We use infrared technology to determine if the ladle has any hot spots and is at the proper temperature to process it. Plus, we have to submit the proper weights by using a computerized scale.
