I have been in and around the swimming pool industry for 35 years. I have worked in every aspect from manufacturing to distribution. I have worked in outside sales and have also been branch manager at an 8 million dollar branch.
I sold insurance for 3 years and won The Presidents award for sales all three years. I also won Salesman of the Year once and several other awards. As Branch manager we won best increase in sales twice.
Baystate wanted to explore new terrioritories .
I was in charge of purchasing, managing a group of 9-14 people, making sure the deliveries were made in a timely manner, doing annual budgets and the general duties of being a branch manager.
I did some purchasing. My main job was in inventory control and deliveries
were getting out the door in timely matter.
Baystate was opening the Springfield branch and hired me as their outside sales person. I was to develop new business and take care of existing business accounts.
This was swimming pool construction company.
I was selling for them on the eastern seaboard.
I took some online classes in communication and selling which was part of the business adminstration course.
