Represented the Agency in a professional manner to enhance the image of the agency by providing the public (person to person at the counter, over the telephone or by written correspondence) with interpretation and explanation of laws, rules, policies, procedures, programs and records to secure compliance and explain requirements while meeting the customer service expectation of the public. I performed counter work and assisted the public to title and register vehicles and obtain all types of road permits. Explained the use of forms for transactions, inspected the supporting documents and applications for completeness and accuracy and collected appropriate fees. I provided driver license study material, administered, corrected and explained the law test, conducted vision tests and completed applications which were submitted to the Headquarters in Salem. I produced photo licenses, instruction permits, temporary licenses and identification cards.
I had to account for documents and monies received. I conducted driver license examinations, completed vehicle examinations for safety and determined if customers (according to the law), passed or failed for driving. Prepared daily reports, including bank deposit and helped maintain sensitive inventory and other office materials. Performed Vehicle identification number (VIN) inspections to determine that they carry the correct number. I performed relief work when needed at other DMV locations.
Duties included: Cash handling, helping customers at the register, setting up displays, order-picking and pulling merchandise from shelves to either package or to stock the store, unloading trucks and using pallet jacks to pull merchandise through the store and stocking the shelves. Placing security items on sensitive inventory such as, cd's and clothes. I also back-stocked extra merchandise, which couldn't fit on the floor. I used box crusher machine to crush empty boxes.
I have over 8 years of working for Target at two stores and the Distribution Center in Woodland. My experience included: Order picking from the warehouse to fill orders from different stores. Working off conveyer belts packing merchandise to ship to the stores, using pallet jacks, box knives and taping guns and labeling machines. I also unloaded trucks, staged merchandise, stocked shelves, set up displays and back-stocked extra merchandise. I helped customer with finding items and performed cashiering when needed.
