  • Trained junior personnel on electrical plant and electrical safety.

  • Operated and maintained a variety of propulsion equipment on guided missile gas turbine powered frigate, including an engine room with (2) LM 2500 gas turbine propulsion engines and (4) Caterpillar diesel generating engines.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance. Quickly developed technical expertise on two General Electric LM2500 propulsion gas turbines, and associated systems and controls, including Fuel Oil, Lube Oil, CRP (Controllable Reversible Pitch Propeller) hydraulics, pneumatics, and low and high pressure air systems.
  • Served as 1 of 4 Fuel/Oil technicians "Oil Kings" responsible for the transferring, storage, and conditioning of all onboard marine propulsion and aviation fuels and all lubrication oils.
  • Transferred more than 500,000 gallons of fuel during a 6-month at sea deployment without any leak incidents.
  • Resulted in Navy Achievement Medal.
