I did on the job training at Lincoln Infant Toddler Center and TLC. I learned how to take care of the children. I was not able to change diapers or any of that because I am not certified in that, but i learned how to do all that. I helped in the kitchen at LITC cook and do dishes as well as be in the room with the children teaching them how to serve themselves when they eat.I learned how to measure out food in the different food groups. I learned all about food safety, no cross contamination, always wash your hands before touching or handling any food, don't let food set out after a certain time etc. I love being in the kitchen its fun and interesting to learn new things.

I had a child at 15 years of age, and I took care of him all on my own with no help. I grew up fast and learned how to become a good mom. I also in fifth grade started to take care of my grandma of MS and she became bedridden. I had to learn how to take care of her, cook and clean. Those were big accomplishments for me.
I worked with children and in the kitchen helping cook and do dishes. I loved it, it was fun and interesting to learn new things in the class room with the children and in the kitchen. Learning the different food groups was one of my achievements while i worked at LITC. Also learning that children love to help, teaching them how to serve themselves when they eat was cool, get to see how excited they get when they get to help.
Working on getting my GED
