Responsible for working with Lowe's Import Ocean Carriers - analyzing and giving detailed reports of status of strings, carrier vessels, shipment delays or possible delays in product arriving to our distribution centers and stores.
Graded carriers on overall performance using reporting with Access/ GXS (Lowe's internal tracking system), excel, etc.
Worked to ensure all Lowe's containers arrive timely and secure within from China, Italy, Brazil, Taiwan, India, Columbia, Korea, etc.
Worked with our Import Freight Team to ensure the correct contract rates were being billed from our contracts.
Responsible for all Ocean Freight Rates in our system to ensure accuracy for channel analysis and invoicing from our Ocean Carrier's and third party providers.
Helped implement the new Lowe's Chassis program.
Worked closely with the development of our JDA planning tool which lets Lowe's plan and implement bookings in house instead of relying on overseas vendors and origins.
Responsible for all amendments to our ocean contracts to ensure that all origins and rates are correct and filed with the FMC.
Supported the diversion process by working with product groups and Ocean Carriers to review feasibility of changes requested; Maintained the diversion database with accurate rate differences and charges and verified charges prior to diversion approval and handled invoices once diversion was completed.
Compiled and maintained import volume data in monthly and annual reporting formats and gathered and maintained freight spend data.
Provided support and assistance to Team manager and Senior Analyst with all relevant import ocean projects and initiatives.
Provided effective communication and interaction with Ocean Carriers, origin global sourcing vendors, internal product groups, consolidators, Customs brokers, third party tracking vendors on a daily basis to assure Lowe's import supply chain operated successfully and efficiently.
Managed the Detention Per Diem process by working with Ocean Carriers on monthly equipment turn reports, addressing discrepancies, authorizing payment and tracking spend.
Responsible for Lowe's inventory management systems to ensure the product was ordered in sufficient supply to support sales demands, while managing Lowe's assets to achieve targeted inventory turns, ROI, ROA, and service levels.
Completed the Import Process Certification.
Imported products from Brazil , China, Korea, and Mexico; Purchased domestic products direct from vendor to store and DC replenishment.
Worked successfully with vendors and the Forecast Analyst about upcoming transitions, non-stocks, import shipping issues, etc., to ensure that we had the most up-to-date and precise information concerning product availability and any issues that may surface.
