Prior to entering the medical field, I had some experience in customer service through a variety of odd jobs and I am a mother of 2 children and stepmother of 2 more; all of which have contributed to my calm demeanor and people skills. I became a nurses' aide and became enamored with the healthcare field in 2014. I obtained my certification at Chestnut Park Nursing Home and Rehabilitation center and remained there as I advanced to LPN and then was promoted to LPN unit manager, co-managing the rehab unit with a registered nurse. Through the same company that owns Chestnut Park, The Grand, I was offered a position on the management team at an assisted living facility in Stamford as their nursing supervisor; I quickly gained my own office and assumed multiple roles including scheduler and educator. Due to some changing dynamics attributed to the current crisis, working on site was no longer feasible and no alternative options available, I was removed from payroll but encouraged to reapply when able. I am seeking a position that allows me to continue to exercise my knowledge of the medical field with the ability to work from home. I feel that my keen eye for detail, medical experience, and advanced communication and organizational skills can prove an asset in assisting patients and providers. I am a very quick learner and always excited to expand my horizons as well.
