Currently I am pursuing the idea of going back to school to work with special needs kids. In the past I have worked in the health field and have really enjoyed helping others.
Was President of HOSA (health occupation students of America) in high school. Also was first place in a clinical care assistant state competition.
At YWAM Madison I work with children at risk all over the world. Our purpose is to know God and make him known.
This was my first job working with special needs, I worked in two different group homes with adults who have developmental and physical disabilities. My job was to assist individuals in everyday life anything from bathing to giving them their medications. The reason why I left this job was so that I could attend a missions school which I completed in March 2012.
In high school I attended a program called clinical care assistant, this program gave me the training equivalent to a CNA. During this program we did on the job training which is when I worked at the hospital.
This program was set up to give high school students training so that when we graduated we could go straight into the work field.
This program was canceled after the first semester.
