Having lived and worked in 8 different countries internationally, I maintain a passion for counseling and helping people of all ages and life stages. I have 2 years of counseling experience at a school district working with troubled youth, along with 2 years office management experience. Working with children aged 5-15 in a variety of school placements including emotionally disturbed (ED) classrooms. Managed caseloads of 25-30 clients for weekly half-hour to 60 minute sessions. Duties include individual and group counseling using variety of techniques based on client needs, abilities and health conditions. Uses great knowledge of school systems and academic structures to create client-tailored treatment plans. Teaches communication skills to children and adults while employing an array of methods including play therapy, creative arts therapy, games therapy, and mindfulness training. Experienced in and specifically requested to perform crisis counseling for main victims of child abuse.
