Karon is one of the larger masonry companies on the east coast, known for large commercial government
work. This gave me an opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of special skills I developed through my
masonry vocational schooling and years of hands on experience in a production ,construction atmosphere
such as repairing power tools and equipment, fixing damage to other work trades caused by performing our
masonry duties. Excellent at maintaining a clean organized job site and work area.
CLARK CONCRETE - Bethesda, MD - October 2011 to December 2013
At Clark I was responsible for strictly production form carpentry. Appearance of the final product was
compensated for quantity as this was a fast pace, professional carpentry position in which I worked with a
crew to create various size forms for footers, elevator shafts, stairways, full floor plan decks and many other
structures .These structures had to be built to spec without a flaw as they supported sometimes hundreds of
tons of, concrete pumped as high as 80 stories. Also as a carpenter for Clark I was responsible for the erection
of special scaffold and beams that supported the entire floor plan weight load via oil coated plywood that was
all eventually removed after the poured concrete cured for several days.Height specs for this scaffold was
imperative to a level floor.

Responsibilities Assist in wall layout as indicated by blueprint specifications to begin building structure.
Start block wall corners and lay to string line.
Install rebar in wall as specified by blueprints.
Grout wall as needed.
Responsible for proper install and spacing of brick\block wire and ties.
Assist for set up and operation of grout pump\hose.
Accomplishments Became an asset to the foreman on duty to perform repairs, change orders ,lift and other "high" work as communication with a majority of the work force was limited due to lack of bilingual employees.
I feel my attitude while working with a mostly Spanish speaking crew really made an impact on the people around me in a positive way, this work was very physical and mentally demanding so I always tried to keep a positive outlook on what demands the day brought upon us as a team, without a complaint or negative comment.

Shortly after the formal business opening I immediately began to perform all phases of the home improvement work scope including licensed trades such as plumbing and electrical installs and repairs, Thus being necessary to maintain the business in a profitable manner as often jobs were smaller in size but repetitive.
Accomplishments McCauley home services quickly became popular with many rental property owners.
My work was done accurately and cost effective as I did many repairs such as drywall, painting,roofing gutters and downspouts,etc.myself.
I also was available 24hrs for emergency services such as electrical plumbing, and, hvac Skills Used I was able to utilize every skill I posses during this period from electrical troubleshooting to installing vinyl siding and from fixing broken sewer lines to drawing plans for a new addition, McCauley home services was prepared to perform all work phases Commercial Painter Reliable Paint Company - Hagerstown, MD - June 2003 to March 2006 Responsibilities As a residential/ commercial painter I was responsible for the prep work /point up of all surfaces to be painted this included but was not limited to caulking gaps between surfaces and materials,spackling, putty fill in, masking areas to avoid paint over spray and splatter sometimes pressure washing or acid washing was necessary.
As I continued with the company I became more involved with rolling and brushing paint applications.

There were many responsibilities to this position to summarize I was to carry out any need requested by the chief or shift supervisor concerning plant maintenance and up keep.
Promoted to crane operator responsible for feeding refuse to three feed chutes which was the fuel incinerated to create steam within the Martin Stoker boiler system.

Also I had a lot of skill in the prep and paint field including, sandblasting this was a big help at the time of boiler outages.
Installer Tech Bonded Lightning Protection Systems - Rockville, MD - July 1995 to January 1997 Responsibilities as an installation tech were mainly the layout of engineered lighting protection systems (LPS) and the installation of these systems.
Installation was performed in accordance with Specs set for the specific install via blueprints drafted by our companies lead engineer.Devices to hold down the continuous copper/ aluminum ground cable were first installed using a variety of fasteners or adhesives Next the cable was fastened to the devices via clamps/mounts then continued to a riser and out to a specifically placed grounding rod.
Extremely high work conditions were common as the actual point or rods were placed at the highest locations of the structure.
