Aboard Coast Guard boats, safely assist mechanics, while performing electrical services with construction and operation of heavy machinery, power and control devices.
Extensive troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting electrical and electronic components converting between AC and DC circuits.
Use various electrical test equipment while wiring, hooking-up, troubleshooting and disconnecting switches, push buttons, circuit panels and breakers, transformers, motors, lighting, generators, sensors, switchboards, etc.
Read, interpret and work from engineering blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams and specification.
Maintain and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches and electrical mechanisms.
Inspect, maintain and repair various types of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors assist.
Installed, repaired and tested electrical and electronic systems. Disconnected and removed motors and pumps. Obtained measurements and readings using volt and ohm meters, meggers, IC testers and dial indicators.
