Work History
06/2001 to Current Mammography Technologist / Quality Control Supervisor Norman Regional Hospital Authority | Oklahoma City, OK,

I perform screening and diagnostic mammography imaging in a fast paced breast center.  I am extremely proficient in performing stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations, as well as assisting radiologists with ductograms, ultrasound core biopsies, ultrasound needle localizations, and cyst aspirations.  I also have experience operating an Aurora dedicated breast MRI unit and assisting with breast MRI guided biopsies. In performing MRI imaging, I also assessed patient for MRI safety and conducted venipuncture.  In addition, I perform bone density exams (currently ARRT registry eligible).  I have assured that the six full field digital mammography units have remained MQSA compliant yearly since 2007 as the Quality Control technologist.  I have also overseen the necessary tests and paperwork to help the facility continue ACR accreditation in mammography and stereotactic biopsy.  I have worked closely with medical physicists to ensure that all equipment is compliant with MQSA standards.

I am also the mammography technologist supervisor.  I am in charge of staffing, scheduling, hiring, and discipline within the department.  Since 2008, I have managed between five and eight technologists at any given time.

Throughout my tenure at the facility, I have operated various Hologic and Bennett mammography units and both a Hologic Multi-care Stereotactic table and a Fischer stereotactic table.  I have used a wide variety of biopsy devices in both stereotactic and ultrasound suites.

I have a Tennessee State License for X-Ray Operator and Bone Density.

I have prided myself in excellent patient care.  I strive to treat each of my patients like family to help reduce their anxieties and increase their trust, both in me and in the facility.
