  • Recipient of the Davidson County Education Foundation Community Impact Grant: I applied for the grant with a community project based idea, the idea behind the project was to involve local community members in a “Spirit of Denton” art show showcasing local talent from both the community and local high school students. Over the duration of three days in May of 2017, students went on a tour of the town of Denton and photographed, sketched, or painted what they believed the spirit of the town was to them. The art show itself was held in July of 2017 located at the town hall in the heart of Denton. The winners of the art show now have their winning pieces hanging in the town hall’s museum as permanent pieces.
