I'm an outgoing guy that is willing to try new things so as long there is an experienced person on site. I've grown up a citizen of the United States here in California. I'm be lived in Los Angeles and Hanford. I graduated high school and tried the military out when I was 19. I was almost set for boot camp when I was shown interest for advancement at pepboys as a technician. It was a move that changed my life and I still have the same passion for. My interest in music, art and theatre has not developed as much as my work experience. By far I've been determined to work for as long as I can remember. At first it was for the pay then it was for the titles to the power of making decisions for the company. However today it's more about learning to work for others and not so much for my own self image. I'm maturing as a father a son a brother and friend. As an employee I can work hard but like anything else I will get the hang of a task and make it easy. I will not pretend to know something I don't have some knowledge about. I can speak Spanish and English. Im attempting to get a job for a company that can use me to there advantage and allow me earn a good living..
Closing sales, ordering specialty items from vendors, proficient typing skills, email compliant, familiar with templates on the computer, compliant with new proccesses when emplemented, highly skilled at operating power tools or hydrology jack needed to lift a 2 ton truck. Skilled at directing employees to work or finding a strength to maximize. Fork lift operating , to loading and un loading trailers, operating heavy machinery, food and safety peocedures and hazard waste disposal.
My work was based on productivity. So maintaining the line with little to no down time was a focus of my position. Securing material needed for the day is also a big part of the job. Labeling the packages from expiration date to lot numbers and logging in the materials used for daily operations. Training others to do the job was a key to our success.
Tire and service repair sales is what kept our stores open for business. We dealt with high walk in customer counts as well some fleet and commercial vehicle accounts. My focus was to keep the customer coming back for any of there car needs or unexpected repairs . So In order to keep there interest I learned about various part manufactures to find out about the technology involved and what makes it better or not as good or offered the speedy service to those that where on the run. Twice a month I would get the shop replenished shed with tires that were no longer on the shelf, ordering the essential like hand soap, towels, toilet paper, office supplies. I was also given the permission to hire a specialist when needed to repair any equipment in the back shop, such as car lifts or industrial air compressors. Also followed safety procedures like the buddy system. This allows another tech to check the bolts are safely torqued on the vehicle. Worked with technicians and tire installers through inspection sheet. I was in charge of employing new people and terminating employment for certain individuals. Scheduling vacation time or health insurance for employees families were part of my duties. Monthly budget for the stores operation cost was a responsibility I embraced and always met. Listening to the needs of others and making it my daily priority to assist there needs is a skill I continuously use today. Typing work orders with items and labor charges so that the customer could make sense of his or her agreement to contract our shop to work on there vehicle were presented by me. It is a tough field that demands competitiveness and professionals to do the job right day in day out.
Worked with air compressed power tools or hand tools for automotive repairs and maintenance. Became professional at completing a 200 point inspection for vehicles and noting anything that failed for the customer. Doing the job right in tailed I had a more experienced technician revise my work and the test drive the vehicle. Very professional at repairs having to do with the way the vehicle is handling on the road to the stopping or lack of, to over heating issues and maintaining fluids inside the engine and off the ground. Windows on the doors the lock button on a car door or the simplest light bulb replacements. It's rewarding with knowledge and constant innovations from year to year on vehicles makes and models kept me continuously learning.
