  • Worked large construction job after my initial hiring and quiet proficient at punching down cat6 modules, terminating coax and rj-45's. Pulled a plethora of many types of wire, as well as tested lines and dressed out closets.
  • Flipped a temporary job into a permanent job, in large part to my punctuality, excellent work ethic and eagerness to learn anything asked of me.
  • Have 3 years experience with Security/Access control/CCTV and very passionate about it. Also have security license and have paid for fingerprints/background check to allow me access to any school.
  • Under initial apprenticeship helped with service calls and a array of different installs.
  • Eventually supervised work crews, attended weekly GC meetings, responsible for turning in daily reports and toolbox talks every week. Was the only contractor on site to not be punished by withholding company bi-weekly checks for poor housekeeping. Take pride in being as organized as possible so not to reflect poorly on any parties I'm involved with.
  • Successfully oversaw a 10 story, year long project. As well as installing many Access control systems such as PDK, BOSCH, DSX, AVIGILON, M-52 MERCURY BOARDS among others.
  • Installed countless maglocks with REX buttons and/or REX motions, cut in door jambs for recessed locks, applied surface mount locks to removable mullions and drilled holes for positioning RFID card readers on almost a daily basis.
  • Mounted and adjusted lens angles for IP cameras. Some knowledge in programming cameras, such as assigning IP addresses to them.
  • Briefly assisted with fire alarm installs, yearly inspections as well as pulling fire wire. Mounted and landed wires to pull stations, strobes, smokes, and heat detectors. Fire side closed after a year. Never had opportunity to obtained a fire license but have done everything short of programming a fire panel. Determination is one of my strongest attributes, very keen to learn anything needed.
  • Familiar with a few intrusion systems, although need to obtain more expertise on programming them. No problem hooking them up however.
  • Utilized effective troubleshooting methods, removed malfunctioning components and identified wiring issues to restore systems to working order.
