I volunteered for two (2) years for the Cumberland County Adult Literacy Program, 2013-2015. I had to stop because of an injury to my knee and surgery, which is completely healed now. I taught two (2) adult students, husband and wife and they went from first (1st) and second (2nd) grade levels to forth (4th) and sixth (6th) grade reading levels. I enjoyed this very much. After I recovered from my injury, I went back to substitute teaching only.
