Summary
For most of my working career I have participated in the service industry.  I started like most as a busser or food runner and through my determination, demeanor, and passion for learning have quickly worked my way up to positions of leadership and specific expertise.  I have managed, served, bussed, and lead small teams in all facets of the service industry with one common denominator:  knowledge and respect for craft beer.  I am a huge fan of this thriving art and would like to continue to grow in this field.  I love to learn and find this field endlessly fascinating and rewarding by learning about the ever evolving culture of the craft beer industry as well as how to make my own delicious brews.

LEAD TAP ROOM/SERVER/ BARREL ROOM ASSISTANT Global Partners Lp Bridgewater, MA,
As the lead tap room server I was responsible for keeping a friendly, informed, and excited atmosphere that guests loved returning to every day we were open.  I made many friends by being able to suggest types of beers based on the guests favorite or prior experiences with craft beer as well as taking a genuine interest in their lives and reasons they love beer so much.  I handled money, switched out kegs regularly that were operating on a daisy chain system, and participated in keeping up the cleanliness of the taproom as well as the production area on brew-days and during private events.  I would set up the entire place by myself and weigh kegs, take stock of food and other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as make sure all games and other activities provided for guests were in tip top shape.
01/2015 to 04/2016
ASSISTANT MANAGER Sunrise Senior Living Burlington, MA,
As the assistant manager for four small businesses that participated in the grand opening of Santa Ana's 4th Street Market, a gourmet food court in the heart of downtown Santa Ana, I helped to maintain the integrity of the food and drink and made sure guests as well as fellow employees were participating in a truly gourmet experience.  I would provide preshift goals for all stalls and would schedule employees into stalls based on their personalities and relative experience in a fast paced, craft environment.  I was also responsible to train bar staff on new styles of craft beer and give the tools and ability to suggest beers based on the likes/dislikes of guests new to the craft beer scene, as well as be able to pair the beers with the food we offered.  I was responsible for the drawers at the end of the night as well as delegating tip share, taking stock at the end of the night and making sure employees were taking their breaks and getting their meals as provided.
05/2013 to 04/2016
LEAD SERVER Playground DTSA City, STATE,
As a server for playground I had to be able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment with the utmost focused on a truly unique dining experience.  With a menu that changed daily and a tap list consisting of sixteen California craft beers on tap as well as a lovely bottle selection, my goal was to be able to pair incredibly delicious food with equally incredible drink.  Seeing as the restaurant would be booked months in advance I would have to study, prepare, and do a lot of my own research in order to make the service as smooth as possible.  I was attentive but not overwhelming and feel a lot of my passion for craft beer began here sampling some of the most delicious beers California had to offer, ranging from Stone, Sierra Nevada, Alpine, Noble, and super exclusive breweries that don't exist anymore!
Education and Training
Expected in 2012

CHAPMAN UNIVERSITY - ORANGE, CA
GPA:
Minor in Philisophical Studies
Activities and Honors
My love for craft beer saw me participate in the UK with two lovely breweries, those being CRATE and Howling Hops, both brewing out of East London.  These breweries generously provided their knowledge and expertise on brewing and allowed me to apply this knowledge when working at East Brother in Richmond.  My travels are centered around hubs where craft beer is paramount and definitely mean I'll be having some sort of delicious drink anywhere I go!
