Enterprise Solution Architect - AIG

The overall object of the AIG OneLife implementation project is to streamline system operations and eliminate redundancy in the multiple Insurance Admin systems with different business processes. The ALIP (Accenture Life Insurance Platform) system has been selected as the platform from which all new business will be hosted.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Solution Architecture group at AIG One Life insurance practice.
  • ALIP and ETL SME on real-time and batch extracts between new admin (ALIP) and all other business applications/systems.
  • Working with different business owners and leadership to reconcile Life practice admin systems with next generation platform and align various other business applications/systems with the new admin system.
  • Come up with a technology/application roadmap within AIG Onelife division and present to the senior leadership.
  • Managed the team throughout SDLC of 61 ETL batch extracts from the new Admin System to the downstream systems. This was successfully delivered in less than 4 months. Managed a team size of 17.
  • Lead throughout SDLC for all the non-functional requirements for the project.
Highlights:
  • Lead the effort in successful design and implementation to eliminate a fat layer of asynchronous Spring / Datastage ETL with 12 hrs of processing time and replacing it with a fast and efficient PERL engine that brought down the time to 15 minutes saving the project a considerable amount of effort and finances.
  • Analysis, documentation and consequent recommendation on moving from AIX to Linux resulted in saving significant amount of project budget.
