I was assigned an aggravated discharge of firearm case. Upon speaking with witnesses and executing several search warrants, Euron Matthews was ultimately arrested for Armed Habitual Criminal and Aggravated Discharge of Firearm. Matthews was seen on surveillance video shooting at a vehicle near 6th and Lind St. The vehicle was seen flipping over on its top after striking an unattended car.
I was assigned a reckless discharge of firearm case. Upon speaking with witnesses and executing search warrants, Tyler McGlaughlin and Brian Logsdon have been arrested. During one of the search warrants, executed by ERT, two individuals were arrested on Class X methamphetamine delivery charges along with several other individuals on various drug charges. McGlaughlin was also federally indicted on drug and gun charges. Due to my patience, projectiles found at the scene matched the firearm seized from McGlaughlin. This was confirmed by ballistics.
Detective Taute and I recently worked several criminal damage to vehicle cases where a juvenile T.B. and an adult were arrested for shooting out several car, business, and residential windows. I was ultimately able to gain a confession from the juvenile who was able to tie in several criminal damages from that night along with several other days. T.B. admitted to damaging several vehicles months ago.
I have worked several juvenile investigations including a case where two female juveniles disclosed that Daniel Hemphill was sexually abusing them. Hemphill is currently incarcerated in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Hemphill was interviewed in DOC. He would not disclose to the sexual assault; however, mentioned that he may have taken photographs of the girls nude. I contacted NCMEC and have been working with them to locate any pictures of the juveniles. Hemphill is incarcerated for Possession of Child Pornography among other charges. The report has been forwarded to the SA Office for pending charges.
