  • Academic Achievements include a two-time Recognition of Excellence - Orchestra (2019 and 2021), and Academic Excellence Awards in Science (2020) and in English (2021). I've also been awarded the Salem State Book Award (2021), which acknowledges my commitments to my community through volunteerism, work, peer/family commitment, and/or civic engagement, and grants a $1,000, full year scholarship for Salem State University. To add, in 2021, I've been accepted into three National Honor's Societies: National Honor's Society, Science National Honor's Society, and Tri-M Music National Honor's Society.
  • Athletic Achievements includes 2019 Top Gun Tumbler at the Masconomet Cheerleading Championship, and 2019 Pentucket Cheer's All Star Award. In addition, I've been a competitive gymnast for twelve plus years, and I've received countless awards a recognitions from gymnastic competitions, the most notable being my career high of a 9.8 score on floor and was granted the Judge's "Most Exquisite Performance" recognition in 2020.
Additional Information
  • My older brother, Matthew, was diagnosed with significant developmental delays and intellectual disabilities at a young age, which placed him profoundly on the Autism spectrum. He experiences strong symptoms of Apraxia, difficulty enacting skilled movements, despite having the desire or cognition to do them. His Apraxia not only affects his fine and gross motor skill implementation, but also impacts oral motor skills as well, severely limiting his speech. Having had Apraxia since early childhood, Matthew is essentially non-verbal. Despite that, he has a remarkable way of conveying emotions, wants, and needs, especially with those he loves. I consider him to be my "big-little" brother, because he may be older, but I help assist him with every day tasks. Growing up with my brother has created my passion for working with individuals with special needs, and fueled my desire to pursue Occupational Therapy, particularly working with the developmentally challenged population.
  • I am considered a senior gymnast at my club gym, and I'd like to continue my 12+ year journey in college. I hope to become a collegiate club gymnast.
