Enters and update computer records and reports for the buying staff of nationwide club warehouses. Review department inventory reports weekly and tracks item replenishment and purchase orders. Sends and tracks vendor contracts, and ad and logo agreements. Communication with other regional offices, vendors, and member to relate and gather information, and resolve issues. Works in tandem with buyer in communicating and coordinating the execution of items and programs. Communicate with buying team, as well as suppliers to gather information, share programs and resolve issues. Analyzes SKU plans, categories, inventory management and product selection in an effort to improve efficiencies and drive sales.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Sets up item and vendor records by keying information in computer. Updates item and vendor records for changes such as price, terms, description, addresses. Keys in figures for weekly department recap. Reviews department inventory reports by location weekly. Checks for zero or negative item sales. Follows up with warehouse to alert of stock not on the sales floor or possible receiving errors and tracks problems until corrected. Track initial stock orders for new locations, follows up with vendors. Sets up and tracks commodity booking to ensure accurate contract balances with supplier base.
