  • Work with management team collaborating, developing and implementing Council programs; responsible for the supervision of 11 council representatives across the state, legal team and researcher.
  • Serve as a primary resource and contact for staff regarding advice, counsel and assistance with complex situations.
  • Attend meetings and participate in work groups on behalf of the Council and the Executive Director.
  • Work with staff to plan ways to meet performance expectations, take corrective action and provide supportive measures when necessary.
  • Assist members with drafting constitutional and policy changes.
  • Speaker and presenter at various trainings and workshops on labor issues for AFSCME International, LERC and other labor gatherings.
  • Experience developing trainings and related materials on bargaining, health insurance, PERS, and student loan forgiveness.
  • Oversee bargaining operations.
  • Responsible for developing model contract language, mentoring new staff on bargaining, providing direction and support to council representatives and local bargaining teams during negotiations.
  • Assisted the Executive Director in leading State Central Table negotiations.
