Vision: I have the ability to observe a problem, decide on a solution, and then plan and implement changes needed to resolve the situation.
Detail Oriented : I have always paid attention to the small details as well as their link to the big picture. I have been called upon by my manager and other lead therapists to proof read policies and memos before they are distributed.
Follow Through: I complete assigned projects and education in a timely manner. I give regular updates if a project will not be completed within the original assigned timeline.
Collaborate with Other Disciplines: I work well with both critical care and floor nursing staff as well as other support staff such as radiology, lab, and EKG. I communicate with the Administrative Representative appropriately when issues in our department could effect other patient care. I have participated in many different training events for nursing staff throughout the hospital at both campuses.
Ability to Prioritize: During our managers leave of absence I was able to prioritize immediate needs and address them quickly, utilizing resources from other disciplines as needed. During times of peak census I have demonstrated my ability to prioritize patient care and adapt quickly to changes.
Precepting: I have been the educator and lead preceptor for the respiratory therapy staff for the past 6 years. In addition to orientation of new staff I have also been a preceptor for MATC students during clinical rotations.
