  • The machinery was individually evaluated to determine how the operators should test the light curtains, emergency stops, interlocking gates, mechanical components and the general work area before each shift to prevent injuries and improve quality. As new machinery is added the department managers and engineers are able to use the redesigned templates to create additional checklists as needed. Completed a facility-wide noise exposure assessment for one the Top 50 largest automotive parts manufactures in the world. Performed a spot check walkthrough that was followed up by 8-hour time weighted area sampling to identify areas where elevated sound pressure levels where present. Employees in those areas were fitted with personal noise dosimeters to confirm or eliminate the need for a Hearing Conservation Program per OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.95. Recommendations based upon the findings included the installation of sound absorbing curtains and materials. Provided technical support to the management team for a steel refinery in Memphis, TN. for a two-day site inspection by the Tennessee Occupational, Safety and Health Administration for recertification of the facility’s Voluntary Protection Program.
