I was fortunate to work twelve years for the Southeast Kansas Independent Living Resource Center as the Coordinator.
I ran the Yates Center office mostly by myself. I started as the receptionist and was promoted three years later.
I enjoy working with the elderly and disabled. It is a very rewarding career when you can help hundreds of people in so many ways.
I am able to do most clerical duties including typing, faxing, phone etiquette, microsoft word and excel. I will type anything that is needed and I am able to file and keep records in order and can show complete organization in my work.
Disability programs, social security, medicare, medicaid, children and family organizations and resources for several counties was my job with SKIL. I delivered food, helped with any type of paperwork and assisted those with Homestead and Food Sales taxes when needed at no charge.
