Performs a variety of substantive personnel and payroll duties for 3 divisions within the Wastewater Management Program, to include recruitment, employment, classification, payroll, benefits and HR information services. Applies county and federal HR policies and procedures to include the Personnel Rules and Regulations; and Personnel Policy and Procedural Memoranda. Utilizes the county's HR systems, FOCUS, NEOGOV and JDMS to perform daily duties. Performs payroll time entry in FOCUS for others and verifies completeness/accuracy of time entered. Assist with or trains employees on how to enter on-line time. Creates and maintains spreadsheets and Word documents. Maintains personnel and payroll records, electronically and hard copy. Gathers simple data to provide payroll and personnel information to employees and produce reports for managers. Maintains effective working relationships with employees and managers. Performs related duties as required.
