I am a hardworking student with six years of experience in the restaurant industry. During COVID, I decided that it was time for a change in my life. I am grateful for what I have learned within my years in the restaurant industry, for these are skills that I will have forever, but I now want to work at a front desk job. I still quite enjoy greeting, communicating, and serving guests, but I would now like to transfer those qualities into another type of work environment.
I am fluent in French and understand Spanish quite well. I have always been able to help out guests from french speaking countries that did not speak any English and assist them with the menu as well as directions.
I have always been an excellent multi-tasker. I enjoy it when tasks are done efficiently and neatly. Cleanliness and customer satisfaction has always been an important role no matter which job title I was working.
Communication is also a key factor when I am employed, whether it be with guests, co-workers, or management.
I have had to answer phone calls, make reservations, take to-go / pick-up orders since I was 16, as well as having to handle a cash drawer and counting the money at the end of my shift.
I can work long hours on my feet and am very used to running around for hours during a hectic shift.
Finally, I am a quick learner and am willing to adapt to any new situation to prove myself as not only an employee but also an individual.
