Responsible for the daily supervision and direction of the high performance histology team at PHLSW ensuring same day TAT and expected standards of excellence while inspiring and empowering growth through daily challenges. Perform bench duties as needed, schedule, monitor performance, write and implement policy, validate new testing and instrumentation, maintain all QC in compliance with regulatory agencies and accepted best standard practices. Assess and troubleshoot complex testing results microscopically. Format algorithms for multiple validation protocols maintaining testing result documentation and images.
Performed routine Histology functions. Recruited to set up Immunohistochemistry department by Pan Suwanjindar, MD. Responsible for training a staff of nine pathology residents in autopsy protocols and MOH's, kidney, skin IFA frozen section techniques and procedures.
Hired initially as autopsy assistant to perform daily posts and assist in the surgical pathology arena. Accepted surgical pathology lead with a staff of three trained surgical assistants and three autopsy assistants performing frozen section microtomy, Moh's, low-complexity grossing, organ preparation, lymph node sectioning, photography, radiography of sectioned samples, accessioning, set-up and maintenance of the surgical pathology suite, rotation of frozen section call from 1700 - midnight. Recruited to fill in for Histology during staffing shortages.
Performed routine clerical office procedures. Trained and certified as the only Saturday Plebotomist. Trained to perform autopsy assistance and surgical pathology relief as needed.
