I have been an educator and coach at Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California for 32 years. I have been a member of the science curriculum team on the district level for the last 24 years. My duties have also included various committees for school improvement and WASC, as well as the inaugural School Site Council.
I have worked during the summer at SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) as a Workshop Facilitator, and just last summer I was awarded a teacher fellowship at Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Center in the Solar and Astrophysics Lab in Palo Alto.
I have taken summers for professional development including the Teacher institute at the Exploratorium, San Fransisco. I work very hard to keep up on the latest educational technologies, including but limited to current computer based labs and software, QR codes for student tutorials, using Lockheed Martin's "knowledge base" for very current lab materials.
