Work for Bechtel within the Houston office involved providing services to groups within Bechtel across multiple projects. Below are some highlights of the responsibilities that my job entailed while working at the OG&C Houston Office

• Volume calculations for Cut and fill and ripable material versus material that need to be blasted.
• Microstation drawings of boreholes on projects within OG&C.
• Data clean up using custom built models. An example would be reducing vertices on topography models with a half meter tolerance.
• Migrating data between AutoCad, Microstation and ArcGIS.

My duties for HCFCD were highly focused on GIS and and GIS infrastructure development within the infrastructure Division. Below are some of the projects that I worked on.

• Bringing legacy scan data into geodatabase and linking it with linear referencing for the multiple watersheds that make up Harris county.
• Using the geodatabase topology function to clean up all watersheds within Harris county.
• Database maintenance on right of way data and inspection data.
• Building maps for county presentations.

I performed many different functions for EnSoCo Inc. Below are some of the duties that I have performed at this position.

• Used ArcInfo and MS Excel to perform quality assurance on seismic survey work for various Oil companies in the field around the Alaskan coast (5 months in total). One example is a spreadsheet I created that would quickly show the DXY between 3,000 hydrophone receiver points and whether our calculations of these positions exceeded the maximum possible distance between points. I would then turn this spreadsheet into a .DBF and produce a quick map of our initial work.
• Digitized legacy data that we received in various formats into highly accurate digital maps.
• Used in house software and ArcInfo to do datum transformations on large sections of data.
• Produced detailed summary reports for quality assurance work done in the field.
• Produced various maps for seismic exploration work.
• Used EnSoCo Utilities to do geodetic transformations on batch grids for various seismic surveys.

• Evaluated the work of 50 employees for errors in work procedure and documentation.
• Monitored visitor parking employee paperwork for possible theft.
• Advised visitor parking management on possible changes in procedures and documentation to eliminate exploitable holes and reoccurring errors within the visitor parking system.
• Developed practical approaches to analyzing more than 80,000 individual transactions a year in a quick and efficient manner.
