I have been involved with ministry, through the Church of the Nazarene, for about six years, including children's ministry and youth ministry. I have several different experiences in the work force, that includes sales, food services, childcare, and construction, and also working with ages from infancy to teens. I have experience preaching to all age groups, and teaching youth and children.
I am able to work in high energy situations, such as games and activities, with teens and children, while also being able to maintain control of the situation. I have taken CPR and First-Aid courses, so I am knowledgeable in a variety of situations where CPR and First-Aid could possibly be necessary, and I am able to stay levelheaded and clear minded when this situations do arise. I am good at verbal communication, and encouraging others to communicate verbally and clearly with those around them to clearly express what they are thinking or feeling.
When working in construction, I have had to pay attention to the very small details, while also still seeing the bigger picture of what is continuing to go on around me. I have also had to be constantly aware of my surroundings to be able to maintain a safe working environment.
I am a very fast learner. I enjoy learning, and I am open to learning new things about the world around me, and the Spiritual. I have a good work and study ethic, that I use when studying the Bible and other subjects that I am learning.
I spent last year in Lebanon, Tennessee at a Non-Denominational ministry training center called City Takers Training Center, where I took a variety of courses on the Bible and the Spiritual. I took courses on topics such as Eschatology, healing, the prophetic, shepherding, Greek, and worship to name a few. I was highly involved with outreach activities that included picking up trash throughout the community, helping maintain the property at a women's shelter, and staying in homeless shelters. Through the training center I not only learned more about the Biblical and Spiritual, but my relationship with Christ was deepened, I found a new love for many things, and learned many things also about myself personally.
I have taken and I am currently taking courses through the North East Indiana Nazarene district, working towards becoming ordained. I have taken courses such as History and Polity of the Church of the Nazarene and Studying the New Testament Word of God. Through these course I have found a deep appreciation for studying the Word of God and digging deeper into passages throughout the Bible.
I have also traveled across the world to Israel, on a Holy Land Tour in 2018. There I got see first hand the places where different events of the Bible took place. I tried many traditional foods, learned about the Jewish culture in the time of Jesus, about the Jewish and Christians cultures in Israel today, and the history of Israel.
