I am an Enthusiastic Welder who is highly responsible and committed to exceeding expectations for each job. My Vast knowledge of stainless steel structures, dedicated Welder experience in MIG and structure welding, as well as maintenance and repair and forklift operation. My expertise continues in TIG welding and being a specialist in using a torch, plasma, air sac, stick weld and forklifts. I am also Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and diagrams.I am Certified in Pipe Welding, talented in flux core arc welding, gas tungsten and gas metal arc welding.
I experienced many different things at this location, in the matter of a few weeks, I went from a Welder to the new foreman and head of my own welding crew. I had the experiences of training men that would work on my crew. At times, things were difficult, having to let someone know that our company was going a different direction. and that he would no longer have his position, but I handled this situation to the best that it could have been. Unfortunately, because of Oil prices, I decided that it was in my best interest to further my career somewhere else, before Layoffs would start, because i knew that our company wasn't making enough to make financial ends meet. I was offered a very high honor in becoming a part owner but decided that financially it wouldn't work out for myself.
Throughout the years I was always chucks go to guy. I would be up at late hours farming crops, checking cows, etc. Through the day I would build feeders, equipment for animals and all other things to be used for harvesting and calving season. I would use Precision cutting with power saws, hand shears and chipping knives. If Chuck were to leave town, I was the man to stay and take and watch over the farm until he returned.I Left this job because I moved to Fort Morgan, Co, to finish school.
This was a new beginning for myself, I got on with the night crew, working 12 hour shift six days a week. I was a pipe/finisher welder, I would weld tanks that were being taken out on the field.Every day I welded and worked on a crew with many different people. Not only did I use welding and fabricating skills, but I learned how to better work with others. This job was the start of my welding career, I love being able to put two metals together and create something different. This job showed me my real passion, which is welding/ becoming a pipe liner and that i was exceptionally good at what i do. I have been welding since I was younger as my dad was a welder/fabricator also
When I moved to Fort Morgan, i decided it was time to work in a shop and i combined my knowledge of welding techniques, knowledge of metallurgy and engineering requirements to produce quality work. Throughout my time here and Midwest, I learned to work with people who had the same passion as my self which was running heavy equipment, welding, and running machines such as a Lathe and a Mill. I inspected chains, hammers and other tools for damage or wear to prevent injuries and accidents. I followed all safety guidelines, including proper machine guarding and lockout and tagout procedures, I cleaned and degreased weld joints and workpieces efficiently.. I had to make the decision of leaving the current work place because i needed to find something more stable and full time.
Accomplishments and Rewards in my community are, in high school, I was very active with FFA. Through FFA I competed at State and National levels for my welding and Mechanic skills. I learned not only more welding procedures, but also mechanical engineering. I could easily pull apart a motor and put it back together if need be. I have advanced certifications in TIG, MIG and Arc welding.
I have many different skills, from engineering, working as a team with others, leadership roles, but my main focus is welding. I have always seen myself as an above average welder. Every job that I take on always are completed as a success. My age for a welder is discouraging, because even though i am young I am excellent at what I do, I believe that in the best of myself, I can exceed and job requirement and expectation. I do everything in the best of my abilities, if i cant get something figured out i will ask question and d everything i can to exceed.
