Season Fleet Maintenance Supervisor responsible for a fleet of 130+ Diesel, Gasoline and CNG Fueled Vehicles.

I oversee all daily operations of the Maintenance Shop as well as Facilities, CNG Plant Operation, Work Assignment, Technician support and development, Work Load Assignments.

I am familiar with Budgeting, Organization, P&L, Planning and implementation of processes. I am always looking for ways we can improve our services and utilizing our resources for maximum results.

I also have an extensive background in Public Safety including service as a Police Officer, Police Supervisor, Police Chief, Firefighter, Fire Captain, EMT - Intermediate. I have numerous certifications in both Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement.

I also served as a Staff Instructor for the NH Fire Academy prior to my retirement from Public Safety in 2006.

Accomplishments

Have helped Lead the Maintenance Department from a fleet of approx. 50 Diesel Trucks to now a fleet of 13-0+ utilizing Gas, Diesel and CNG Fueled vehicles.

Have developed and implemented several processes to streamline our Fleet Maintenance Program. Including a automated program that monitors and identifies when brakes need replacement on trucks.

Lead the Pittsfield Fire & Rescue to receiving the 2004 NH EMS Unit of the Year Award which recognized our high level of service as well as our community outreach programs.

Fleet Maintenance Supervisor02/2013 to Current
C&S Family Of Companies – Orlando , FL

Started with a fleet of Approx. 50 Diesel trucks and have progressively grown the Maintenance Department which now services a fleet of 130+ Asses including 114 Collection Units. Current fleet consist of Gasoline, Diesel and CNG Fueled Vehicles.

Responsible for all daily work flow in the Maintenance Shop. Oversee 16 Direct reports consisting of Technicians with all levels of skills operating on Three Shifts and working 6 days a week.

Responsible for Maintenance and upkeep of CXNG Fueling Plant on site, including basic Maintenance, Troubleshooting and basic repairs. Work with outside vendor on overall Maintenance of plant.

Review Shop Work Orders for completeness and accuracy of repairs to insure maximum run time and alleviate down time on units.

Work with outside Vendors on repairs and Maintenance of fleet as needed.

Oversee all Parts Ordering, Determining proper parts needed for repair, sourcing for efficient repairs, determining stock level of in house parts to maintain Fleet and maximize utilization of units.

Acts as Maintenance Manager in their absence and have served as interim Manager for periods of time. Help with Budgeting, Payroll, Scheduling of Techs, P&L monitoring, receiving and approving of invoices for payment, Budgeting. Review and closing of repair orders, scheduling of Preventive Maintenance, Monitoring to identify potential problems with fleet. Work with other Managers and Supervisors to insure maximum utilization of fleet.

Perform Yearly Fleet Inventory for Corporate Offices. Participate in Regional and Corporate Meetings regarding fleet operations.

Insure all Shop Personnel utilize proper Safety Measures in accordance with Guidelines and Company Policies.

Monitor Fleet for compliance with DOT Regulations.

Developed and Implemented processes that help to maintain fleet in maximum operational condition. (Including Tire Check sheets, Brake Check Sheet that automatically identifies trucks needing Brake Services performed, Parts Ordering process to identify what units parts are needed for and to insure installation when received)

On Boarding and orientation to shop policies and procedures for New Technicians.

Oversaw work of Shop Technicians for fleet of approx. 40 Diesel collection units. Reviewed driver generated DVIR's for repairs needed and assigned work to Technicians.

Reviewed completed work to insure proper and timely repairs to units.

Insured Preventive Maintenance was completed in a timely fashion, Monitored to verify repairs identified were completed.

Ordering of Parts for repairs as needed.

Work with Maintenance Manager to insure proper repairs, Set and review budgets.

Work with other Managers and Supervisors to insure fleet readiness and maximize utilization.

Mechanic / Technician11/2006 to 06/2011
S.E.T. Materials D/b/a Chip's Dozer – City , STATE

Started as Road Technician with Mobile Service Truck. Drove to Job Sites and performed Maintenance and Repairs to 30+ pieces of Heavy Equipment (Primarily Caterpillar). Also assisted Shop with Maintenance and repairs on fleet of 30 On Road Trucks.

Identified Units needing Preventive Maintenance and perform. Responded to calls of broken down equipment / trucks and made repairs.

Assisted with parts ordering. As needed assisted with operation and management of the truck Shop.

Captain / Ambulance Director08/1998 to 10/2006
Pittsfield Fire & Rescue – City , STATE

Served as First Full Time Fire Department Officer as Department transitioned to a Combination Paid / Call Department from an On Call Department.

Established the Towns Ambulance Service within the Fire Department. This included the purchased of Vehicles and Equipment and Hiring of Full Time Personnel.

Oversaw All Full Time Personnel as well as Call Personnel. Worked with the Fire Chief, Board of Firewards and Board of Selectmen to insure delivery of service.

Responded to and oversaw operations at Emergency Scenes the Fire / Rescue Department was called to.

Oversaw Budgeting, Administration, Compliance with all Federal, State and Local Regulations.

Interact with other Federal, State and Local agencies for planning, response to and mitigation of Emergencies.

Served as Deputy Forest Fire Warden appointed by State Forestry.

Certified Fire Fighter Level II, Fire Inspector Level III (Had authority to file and prosecute criminal cases outside of States Fire Marshalls Office). Fire Instructor Level III, Fire Investigator, NREMT-Intermediate with advanced protocols, CPR/First Aid/ AED Instructor Trainer (Both Red Cross and American Heart). Hazmat Operations (Including CAMEO trained). Numerous other courses and certifications for Fire & EMS.
