Financial Analyst - Revenue and Quota Planning, 05/2006 to 09/2016 IBM – Telecommuted from home
Retired from IBM in 2016, after 37+ years spent working in a variety of Administrative and Finance and Planning roles.
For the last 10 years, I was the lead planner responsible for building and maintaining all quota models for the IBM Software Division in the US, which included modeling revenue quotas for some 2,000 sales reps and their first and second line managers.
The process for planning semi-annual quotas included extensive use of BRIO Hyperion and Excel, to develop the models used to evaluate historical trends, significant account requirements, and revenue targets across 25+ different brands, for some 10,000 IBM accounts. Developed all quotas according to audit requirements and calendar deadlines for each sales plan cycle.
Responsible for loading databases specifically established to deploy and maintain quotas each cycle. In each sales plan cycle, I was also significantly involved in addressing quota issues initiated by sales management and our worldwide brand organization. Communication of each issue and problem resolution were key to moving forward with quota deployment to the entire organization.
