In my assignment as a Supplies Coordinator I was able to reduce operating expenses by 75% year over year by using benchmarking techniques and consolidating bulk purchases. I have received multiple recognition awards usually very early in my new assignments for performance. I have reduced cycle time in preparing analysis, by setting up modeling and links to highlight large variances in data that help me focus on problem areas quickly and efficiently, leaving more time to focus on anomolies. As an Outsourcing Coordinator I have sat in on capabilities presentations and provided assessments in the selection process for on-sight Administrative and Commodities contract awards.
I have been in central overhead for over 7 years. I have established and maintained effective two-way communications with management and budget owners. I monitor ongoing expenses relative to the budgeted plan. I have identified over and under runs and collaborated with budget owners in developing solutions. I cultivate strong teamwork and relationships. I embrace new and enhanced systems and applications that help to stream line financial reporting. In this assignment I learned the Earned Value concepts and processes. I collaborated with the Cost Account Managers (CAMS) to provide financial data to support contract variances. I loaded budget to the budget baseline and lead funding meetings to assign budget and targets. The tool we used was called ARTEMIS and wInsight.
I was responsible for billing invoices to the Government for Aeronautics. I completed complex contract billing reconciliations, worked with site financial personnel to update systems inputs. We used VISIFLOW to load all data into an electronic filing system reducing the need for paper storage. This also allowed the biller, contracts and program office real-time access to the same data file.
I was the department lead who analyzed, review, prepared and update procedures and budget at a department and functional level.
Supply and Vending Coordination: Coordinated the on-site labor contract, for administrative services for a $10M 5-year contract.
As and administrative intern/summer hire I provided assistance to Traffic, Head Office, Mailroom, Contracts and Engineering departments for all administrative tasks. I also learned to use a word processor on this assignment.
