I was responsible for the completion of all structural repairs. Conducted site checks to evaluate job specifications to determine what specific skill set would be required. I reviewed drawings order material, monitored work in progress to ensure that all welding procedures, fit up, weld joint design,fabrication and quality requirements were maintained. I assisted and provided on site training as required.

I was responsible for the execution of waterfront availabilities. I reviewed negotiated Job specifications for technical accuracy and compliance to standards so work could be accomplished within a planned scheduled availability. I monitored work in progress to ensured that all quality standards were maintained and implemented corrective actions as needed to meet both acceptance standers and time lines. I coordinated shop manpower levels and sub-contractors to ensure jobs were maned at proper levels and resolved any problems that accrued during the production phase. I scheduled and oversaw all quality assurance checkpoints required by the Government for Fraser's services and subcontractors. I conducted weekly production meetings with government project managers, commanding officers, ships force personal and subcontractors to ensure an efficient flow of information, progression of jobs and to address any material, or technical problems.

Shop Master for the weld shop and the sheet metal shop at 32nd street Naval Station. I was responsible for the administrative and technical supervision of 15 to 20 personal. Planned work to be accomplished, set priorities, prepared work schedules and made calculated decisions on work problems. I conducted shipboard inspections to verify ship's material condition to determine actual scope of work required and quality of work completed. Attended weekly production meetings with Commanding Officers, Contractors, and Senior Leadership providing advice / guidance and updating the progress of incoming and out going work.
