As a vested MEH team member, I am interested in carrying forward what we all have worked hard to build. I am looking for an opportunity to lead and assist in the development of others. To help lead the MEH departments integration into the BNSF community.
As the FMMEH with the SWE division I also serve as the MCM and Wellness Manager. My 18 years of association with the BNSF Railway has provided me with the opportunity and ability to work in multiple roles at one time. My experience lends a unique perspective on the integration of MEH services. I have developed strong relationships with the MEH Vendors, Supervisors and BNSF employees with the implementation of MEH programs.
Hired to medically manage and coordinate return to work of BNSF Employees from non-work related and work related medical conditions. Also hired as Manager of MCM's and assist in the transition of MCM's as independent contractors. Supervised 1/3 of the MCM's with case strategy return to work planning. Helped MCMC learn the business aspect of disability case management for a Class 1 railroad. Assisted with transitioning the services of the Injury Help Desk and also the handling of the off duty non-work related medical review process from the MCM's as independent contractors. Worked on the Injury Care Help Desk for 8 years. Worked numerous BNSF divisions however from 2000-2005 worked as the MCM of what eventually became the Twin Cities Division.
Provided disability case management and return to work solutions for New Mexico employers. Contracted services through the Dept of Vocational Rehabilitation coordinating on-the-job training and placement services. Provided vocational rehabilitation and placement services for LTD recipients. Independently contracted with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway as a Medical Care Manager from June of 1996 to May of 1999. Help initiate the concept of a call in injury help desk for on duty injuries. Provided initial injury medical care coordination for BNSF, Grand Trunk Railroad, Canadian National, Illinois Central, Kansas City Southern and Rail America. For the BNSF Railway I was the Medical Care Manager for Arizona and New Mexico divisions.
Provided vocational rehabilitation and disability case management services to New Mexico Worker Compensation, The Dept. of Labor Workers Compensation Programs, and VA participants. As Director of the New Mexico operations, I supervised the case management services of a staff of nurses, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and placement specialists. Directly responsible for the development and marketing of services.
