Additional Information

I am a part of the United States Pony Club which has been an amazing learning opportunity for my knowledge about horses. This club is what gave me the motivation to want to become a veterinarian. I have been a part of this club for 6 years now and it really challenges your knowledge of the horse in general along with teaching you about dentistry, diseases, conformation, toxic plants, injuries, bandaging, etc. This club not only set me up for success with knowledge of physiology/ pathology of horses going into equine classes in college, but it also taught me how to work with others as a team when learning new things.

Hobbies

I love to actively show, ride, and compete horses. I have my own horse that I am consistently riding and taking care of and making sure he is in the best health to compete. This sport has not only made me humble, but it has taught me sportsmanship and has given me so many opportunities to work at other farms with more horses.
