Accomplished electrician with a total of 9 years of experience ranging from underground mining to factory electrician. Confidently troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems, and make proper and timely repairs to allow for production to continue.
Maintain, service, and do assigned permissibility on mining equipment on a running section.
Learned the basics for installation of power distribution components. Concentrated on setting poles, running and hanging wires from t bars, and landing them on pole transformers.
A training program that focused on the equipment in a mine. What to look for while servicing equipment, and where lubrication points were on equipment. Attended a class at a local college for cutting and welding. Read electrical and hydraulic prints, and used panels to correspond to the prints to learn equipment. As the course went on, used the prints and panels to troubleshoot problems the instructors would put on the equipment panels. Went over safety, laws, NEC, AC and DC circuits, and studied for and got my electrical cards.
We would take what we learned in the classroom to the mine for a month before returning back to the class for our next part of the course. We all learned to become open minded and learn from each other's experiences at the mine sites, and build together as a team.
