I am an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. I am currently a Senior at Alpharetta High School and a student at Gwinnett Technical College. I feel I am ethical and well rounded regarding my activities, sports and marching band experiences. I welcome the opportunity to be friends with a variety of people and have the willingness to help those less fortunate than myself.
2016 - Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 69
To become an Eagle Scout, you have to go through years of hard work, dedication and teamwork. Achieving different badges, ranks, leadership positions and providing community service, requires pushing yourself to do new things and to take on roles of responsibility. So, at an early age, this has prepared me to contribute as a young adult to many things. The ultimate test in the Boy Scout process is the Eagle Project. This is where you select a project of significant magnitude that shows some form of civic responsibility and how it benefits others. For my project, I created "Puzzles for Patients", a unique proposal that has never been done before. The concept was to provide a fun diversion for children patients with an overnight stay at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). I collected 600 new puzzles and donations from the community. Each was stickered with an inspirational message. The children got to keep their puzzle as a positive reminder of them "solving" their health issue ... just like they solved the puzzle!
