Diligent worker, respectful, honest, eager to build on my current knowledge and learn more, good problem solving skills
At Hal Leonard I was a picker/wrapper. Basically the job consisted of gathering orders of music books and music supplies for people to wrap up and get ready to get shipped out. Half the day I would use a cart and go up aisles listening to a headset telling me which products I would need to complete the order. The other half of the day I would be the one boxing up orders and getting them ready to be shipped out. We would have to scan each item into our system to make sure we have everything our buying needed.
When I started at Winona lighting I was first trained in as an electical assembler, I was trained to assemble lighting fixtures. We were required to know how to read a bill of materials and assemble a collection of numerous fixtures. I maintained this position for around 4 months and then transitioned into a material gatherer, which basically consisted of me running around and gathering parts as needed for the assemblers so they could continue to work without having to stop. My last month at Winona Lighting I was trained into auditing our work spaces ensuring everybody was taking the proper precautions for good product assembly.
At WinCraft I worked in area called "General Assembly". Our area was required to pick orders and follow the instuctions gaven to us to fulfill the order. Sometimes all we were required to do was put holograms and upc's on an already finished product, and then box it up so it's ready to ship out. Other times we actually would have to assemble something before getting to the stickering process. WinCraft is a worldwide sports distributor so some of the items made there were flags, keychains, towels, puzzles, and pencils. That's just a brief example of everything WinCraft made. I was trained in on a few basic machines during my stay at WinCraft. One was a machine that would shrink wrap items. Another was a machine we called a welder which would connect two halfs of a keychain together to make it whole.
