Johnson County Community College - Overland Park , KSThis venue has, per square foot, the best light show in town; I have way too much fun with their rig. At the request of corporate trainers, I play from their DJ equipment and library. When their new system had trouble, I made myself available off-the-clock to troubleshoot the system. Breaking sales records for this franchise's 12 different locations happens on an almost monthly basis.

The One Group - Miami , FLAlong with my regular routine hosting karaoke and mixing dance music, I began to take active role with social media promotions and graphic design.

Tulip Cremation - Charlotte , NCIn spite of the owner's reluctance to allow karaoke at his venue, the staff encouraged him to give me a shot. We took a dying Thursday night and turned it into one of the most happening karaoke nights in town. I've broken many personal records at this venue; one night we had 33 different singers in one rotation (over 50 individuals, lots of duets and group songs).

Zagg - Ut , UTThis venue implicitly requested that the DJ *never* use the microphone. As much as I enjoyed getting back to my roots mixing electronic dance music, I felt severely underwhelmed as a professional. I eventually left to pursue other projects that allowed me to utilize my versatility as a performer.

Buckethead Tavern - City , STATEMy ability to mix music videos landed me a gig downtown with this string of nightclubs. Large crowds, high volume sales, and lots of activities were common with every shift.

Party Boys Productions - City , STATEThe new business model for this same address on Kingston Pike attracted a clientele from the east side of town. This is when my suspicions were confirmed about limiting the requests from guests. I worked for other businesses throughout my time with Doc's.

Sapphire - City , STATEA select group of investors offered to buy out the group running Kingston Alley and re-brand the business during the summer of 2009. Along with taking over as their full-time disc jockey, I also organized an install for a house sound system and light show.

Carleo Entertainment - City , STATEAnticipating the city's attempt to shutdown Michael's, I began looking for other methods of employment. The owners at Kingston Alley were familiar with my successful karaoke night and welcomed me on one night a week.

Doc's All-American Grille - City , STATEMobile disc jockey business serving fundraisers, weddings, and private parties since 1980. In my time with this group, I learned the bulk of my knowledge about the industry. I'm still in close contact with both founding members, my father and brother.

Ray's Entertainment Sports Grille - City , STATEFrom classic rock to kid-friendly events, this venue introduced a young DJ to the concepts of playing for the crowd in front of you. I also learned a great deal about becoming a personable member of the staff.

Kingston Alley - City , STATEThis is the first venue where I ever hosted karaoke. We had some of the worst singers, but we also had a lot of local recording artists; I was able to learn volumes about setting microphone levels and effects from this wide spectrum of guests.
Our karaoke nights quickly became popular and I was encouraged to provide a dance music set after midnight. I was still a teenager and I already had club DJs from downtown coming to check out my Monday night gig.
Before the city shutdown the bar, I had taken over full-time and trained all the other DJs who would work shifts on my nights off. During that time, I assisted with a complete install for new sound and lighting; this is when I began to learn my passion from programming intelligent lighting.
