The overall goal of healthcare quality management is to ensure that services are running smoothly and patients are receiving the best quality care possible. We focus on health care professionals follow the right processes and guiding principles to reduce the risk of harm. As quality director I am responsible for management activities for the hospital including patient care and relations, JHACO compliance, risk management and safety, performance improvement, and infection control. I work to develops strategic plans and policies for improved quality throughout the hospital and work with leaders throughout organization and management to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Oversee our team completes reporting to Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to ensure our organization meets conditions of participation. Also have the responsibility of our Medical Staff Office to coordinate the credentialing and privileging process for medical staff professionals working throughout our healthcare system. Also to ensure we meet credentialing standards mandated by federal and state government and by accrediting agencies. The part I enjoy most is reviewing and developing a quality improvement program/process that leads to better healthcare outcomes for our patients.
