Professional Development Planning Develop and coordinate BioNetwork's comprehensive year-round K12 and community college faculty professional development (PD) schedule. Recruit and supervise part-time assistance with teacher workshops, including: workshop recruiters, PD faculty, and PD instructional assistants. Additionally, writing contracts and Professional Service Agreements (PSA) to accompany contracts. Developed and organized educator summer workshops that functioned to provide hands-on, inquiry-based activities to faculty and foundational understanding of connection between educational programs and industry skills. Specifically, this entailed: creation of promotional materials/brochures; promoting workshops at various meetings/events/conferences; providing participants assistance with registration process; recruitment and supervision of PD faculty and assistants; directly engaging with host community colleges' staff for coordination of events; ordering and preparing laboratory materials to be used during workshop; assisting PD faculty in facilitation of workshop; creating workshop documents; preparing educator workshop binders; planning, ordering, and receiving of catered meals; assessed workshop efficacy through participant surveys; ordering and preparing materials for educator take-home boxes
Community Outreach Program Development Developed, coordinated, and facilitated Family Science Night package, a “boxed” event, designed to assist community colleges with STEM recruitment and community outreach efforts. Specific tasks performed: collaboration with group members for development of activities; creation of curriculum materials; testing of developed activities; preparing ordering lists for needed materials; participated in creation of materials boxes ensuring all needed materials were present; directly engaging community college faculty and staff of hosting college for coordination of events; conducting personal PD sessions with colleges' faculty and staff volunteers toensure understanding of activities they would be facilitating
Preparation of Impact Data Reports Developed and implemented system for collection of engagement visit impact data. Conducted regular evaluations of program impacts and reach as well as developed and submitted compelling impact statements as component of those periodic reports.

K-12 Outreach Programming Development of unique, hands-on engagement activities and associated curriculum materials (i.e. PowerPoint presentations, instructor's preparatory protocols, and student sheets) which align with both state-mandated education standards and biotechnology industry skills. Delivery of engagement activities in K-12 and community college classrooms, primarily within eastern North Carolina but also across the state as needed.

Recruitment Program Development BioNetwork's EASE (Effective Authentic Science Events) program a "science outreach day in-a-box" designed for community colleges to use as a recruitment tool for middle school students. Specific tasks performed include: collaboration with group members for development of activities; creation of curriculum materials (i.e. presentations, event leader sheets, and student sheets); testing of developed activities; preparing ordering lists for needed materials; participated in creation of materials boxes ensuring all needed materials were present; assisted with Introduction and Conclusion video editing decisions; directly engaging community college faculty and staff for coordination of events; produced voice-over videos of all EASE PowerPoint presentations for event leaders to use in their preparation; creation of schedules for all EASE packages
Conference Presentations Presented and participated in state (NC3ABI and NCSTA) and national (NSTA and HAPS) professional development workshops to maintain personal professional development and stay up to date with current pedagogical methods and instructional technologies.

Community Representative In addition to regular duties, also served as school's Havelock Chili Festival representative. I attended all planning meetings, organized student volunteers, and supervised student volunteers while working at Chamber of Commerce booth during festival (years 2013 and 2014).
In this position I taught lab sections of Bio111 (General Biology I), Bio168 (Anatomy and Physiology I), and Bio169 (Anatomy and Physiology II). Most semesters I taught 2 lab sections; Bio111 online and Bio 168. In the fall of 2011, I taught two sections of Bio111 and one Bio169. The spring of 2013, I taught one section of each Bio111, Bio168, and Bio169. For each course I was contracted for 48 contact hours per semester.
