WA State, DSHS, Developmental Disability Administration - Spokane, WA

DDA Case Manager:

  • Maintained a Waiver case load of approximately 75 clients.
  • Identify support needs for DDA clients and plan and authorized payment for appropriate services.
  • Conducted client and family interviews using CARE to determine what services they would qualify for and to best meet their needs.
  • Schedule and conduct face to face home visits with clients and families. Review and monitor client plans, reports, and client progress.
  • Work with families and community members to advocate on behalf of clients. Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to support clients.
  • Request Exceptions to Rule (ETRs) and prior approvals per requirements. Testify at administrative hearings as needed.
  • Identify clients or families in crisis and make emergent referrals as needed to appropriate authorities, department/division services, or local community resources. Respond to emergencies, extraordinary incidents or work tasks that require employee response.
