2012 to present: Deputy Sheriff for the Cherokee Sheriff's Department assigned to the Adult Detention Center. 2007-2011: San Diego County Deputy Sheriff. I worked at the Las Colinas Detention Facility as a training officer for the last year that I was employed with the San Diego Sheriff's Department. I trained several new deputies during that time. I trained the new deputies in the day to day operations of the facility as well as the importance of safety and security. I also developed several training scenarios for the all the deputies at the detention center. Some of the training scenarios included; hostage drills, escape drills and fire drills. After each training is was tasked to write an after action report. I created several power points in order to train new and seasoned deputies. I was also the Fire Deputy for 2 years while working in the jail. I really enjoyed being a training officer.
