Just recently, I was working quite hard as a dairy/frozen food associate, skilled in managing stock, merchandising products, detailing a wide array of aisles and shelves, and performing temperature logs. For my weight and build, I can lift surprisingly heavy items and partake in regular physical activity, so my stamina doesn't drain easily-I can go long periods of time without the need for a fifteen minute break. I'm quite fluent in assisting customers, multitasking and handling high-volume work, but am also even better well-versed in secluded environments like backrooms and warehouses in which series of tasks are given out to me to perform within a certain time frame. I speak a small bit of Spanish and a smaller bit of French, so that can sometimes come in handy. I would say that I'm quite prompt at addressing any inquiry with my customers to the best of my ability, and if I can't help them, I try to take them to somebody who can. By default, I enjoy putting a smile on my customer's face and have genuinely felt bad for not giving the best of my performance to my customer when warranted.
Besides working at Winn Dixie, I worked at Hannaford Super Market and Pharmacy for a solid year before having to leave for college in a distant location. At Hannaford, I truly believe I went above and beyond with my performance as a cart pusher, bagger, and stock associate because I was met with appropriate recognition for my work from my higher ups and treated very well during my stay there. I was always keenly aware of how many carts where in by the main entrance and would calculate how many groups of each cart type I would need to keep up with the flow of customers and eventually fill the main entrance's garage area for closing. I removed trash from carts, sanitized them down during the pandemic, and lined them up against the building every Monday evening for a janitorial spray down, and if I was the only person for the job, then that was that. In no time, I became an expert cart pusher. As a bagger, I was a bit slow at first, but tried developing systems and strategies to bag more quickly and effectively. I will mention here and now that It has been quite some time since I've bagged anything. Bagging was more of a position in which the relationship between customer and employee was important, to elaborate, I would always try to adapt my character to that of the customer I was serving, whether that be somebody who may have not been happy with their shopping experience, somebody who just needed to be in and out of the store quickly or maybe needed loading assistance, or those of which who really savored their shopping experience with us and were trying to spark up conversation with the cashiers and baggers. Bagging wasn't exactly my strong suit, but for the time I spent doing it, I knew I was doing more right than wrong.
To summarize, I believe I'm quite a hard worker, have strong work ethic and integrity, a few different skills to offer, try to provide quality and resolving customer service, can be very detailed oriented when needed, and have over time, developed the skill to manage my time and self-coordination more effectively.
