As an employee of How Cool, I had numerous responsibilities while working with a small team to manage the organization's internationally distributed inventory: taking orders both on the phone and online, fulfilling orders, maintaining inventory and data entry, ordering store merchandise and special orders, checking daily emails and corresponding with customers, promoting store sales through website and emails, digital imaging, opening and closing store procedures, answered multi-line phones, and maintained cleanliness and organization of store/warehouse.
My job duties for Express Delivery were as follows: time sensitive and/or biohazardous deliveries of medication, medical equipment, and supplies to businesses and residences from L.A. area to Fresno as maintaining resource and consumption logs, customer delivery logs, and strict adherence to shipping and receiving procedures.
I delivered newspapers on an as needed basis for the Bakersfield Californian Newspaper and the Northwest Voice. My daily duties were to arrive at the designated location to pick up around 600-1000 newspapers, fold and bag each paper, and then deliver them to customers. Additional responsibilities included: providing customer service and logging complaints, maintaining correct addresses and reporting any changes to subscriptions, tracking customer vacations, and logging of gas and mileage.
My job duties were: providing excellent customer service, promoting sales of jewelry department items, making special orders for customers, locating specific items for customers in store and store catalogs, cashiering, maintaining accurate store inventory, placing orders through vendors to replenish stock, logging damaged or defective merchandise and sending back to vendors, checking in merchandise from receiving, shipping merchandise, setting up visually appealing displays of store merchandise, marking down items for sales, providing customer support over phone, answering multi-line phones and transferring to appropriate department, maintaining clean and organized department, and opening and closing store procedures.
